So credit card company Marbles.com have conducted their own studies ... assessing UK universities' living cost from rent payments to price of a pint.

Besides academic and social benefits of each seat of learning, affordability can be factors from transport to takeaways.

To help clarify the situation, the company compiled a list of the top 50 universities, calculating which are most affordable to study at. And, as https://www.marbles.com/university-town/ infographic shows, Sheffield is ranked in top half for value for money studies.
