Sheffield's biggest fancy dress party finds new venue

One of Sheffield's biggest fancy dress parties has found a new venue - and has more tickets available than ever before.

Sister-in-laws Michelle and Barbara France are holding their annual Breast Cancer Charity Fancy Dress Ball at the O2 Academy, on Arundel Gate, on April 22.

The event, now in its 17th year has previously raised more than £80,000 for breast cancer research at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, but needed a new venue after escalating costs with Sheffield Hallam University Hubs building.

The party is always a sell-out but the change in venue means that 1,500 tickets - three times the previous capacity - are now available.

The event is on April 22 from 8pm to 2am. Tickets are £6 from O2 Academy box office and website.
