Over the last few weeks the Crystal Peaks branch of The Nottingham has been engaging with local primary and junior schools, encouraging as many of them as possible to take part in a Robin Hood themed colouring competition.

From this week, the participants, their families and other members of the public will be able to see the plethora of entries showcased in the branch in the Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre, as well as on a ‘pop-up’ display in the centre itself.

Senior customer adviser Kirsty Thorne said: “We have a growing presence in South Yorkshire having already got branches in Sheffield city centre, Firth Park and Dinnington and then opened here in Crystal Peaks late last year.

“Ever since the doors opened to the new branch we have been really warmly welcomed by locals, many of whom welcome a building society that continues to put branches on the high street rather than close them.

“When we thought of a way to say thank-you to people we came up with the idea of getting out into the local townships and asking schools if they wanted to take part in a colouring competition.

“The take-up has been really good. Big thanks to all those who have taken part and we look forward to welcoming proud family and friends, and anyone else who would like to see the colourful creations, into the branch throughout half-term.”
