Sheffield workers get a Christmas gift to relish

Workers at a Sheffield broadband provider can relish Christmas this year - with bespoke bottles of Henderson’s for more than 1,000 employees.

City firm Plusnet has teamed up with the famed Sheffield spicy sauce makers to create the special Christmas bottles in the firm’s trademark purple.

The award-winning broadband provider decided on the gift as a thank you to staff.

The bottles in Plusnet purple and complete with the company logo will be given to each member of staff as part of a long list of company activity on the countdown to Christmas.

The company’s new slogan #lovesyouback is also featured on the branded Henderson’s Relish sauce bottles.

Andy Baker, Plusnet chief executive, said: “This Christmas we wanted to give our staff something a little different and everyone loves Henderson’s.

“I know it’ll go down well on our dinner table this evening!”

It was confirmed this month that the old Henderson’s factory on Leavygreave Road in Sheffield city centre is set to become a pub.

The headquarters has been bought by The University of Sheffield, which wants to transform it as part of its city centre campus.

Today the firm is based in a facility off The Parkway and is expanding to supermarkets across Yorkshire.
