Sheffield Wednesday: Why Owls chief Jos Luhukay is prepared to play a waiting game in the summer transfer window
Clubs in the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two will be able to revamp their teams when the summer transfer window opens on Thursday, May 17.
“It is normal now that a lot of players go on holiday,” Luhukay told The Star. “We will go about our work in a very serious and intensive way. We must make good decisions.”

Hide AdThe Dutchman would love to get his business done early but is willing to bide his time to get the right recruits in.
He said: “Everything that you do is important when you are looking to change some players in your team.
“We must take our time and when we do something have 100 per cent trust in what we do. I think that is important.
“Of course, you hope when you start (pre-season) that you have 60 to 80 per cent of your squad in place and maybe in pre-season or later you have one or two additions where something must happen. That is the ideal situation.
“But we must wait in the next two months to see how the squad will be.”
