On the hour mark, Jack Stobbs wasted a glorious chance to double the Owls’ lead from the penalty spot after Dion Kelly-Evans was adjudged to have tripped Ryan Croasdale, who caught the eye playing in an unfamiliar right-back role. Stobbs, who made one senior appearance for Wednesday almost two years ago, blazed over from 12 yards out.
