Joey Pelupessy is preferred in midfield to Josh Onomah, who has been away on international duty with England's Under-21s, while Lucas Joao is recalled to the attack.

Joao, who netted a brace against Bristol City last time out, replaces Daniel Pudil.

Midfield playmaker Barry Bannan (groin) and centre-forward Steven Fletcher (back) have shrugged off their knocks and are fit to play.

The Owls, who have climbed up to sixth after losing just one of their last nine matches, are without Fernando Forestieri. The talismanic forward is expected to be out of action for a couple of weeks due to a hamstring problem.

Gary Hooper, Sam Winnall, Kieran Lee and Joost van Aken remain on the sidelines.

Owls: Dawson; Lees, Hector, Thorniley; Palmer, Pelupessy, Bannan, Penney; Reach, Fletcher, Joao. Substitutes: Wildsmith, Fox, Pudil, Onomah, Kirby, Preston, Nuhiu.
