Sheffield Wednesday team changes: Fernando Forestieri starts as Owls make two changes

Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri returns to the starting line-up for this evening's home clash with Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.

Forestieri, who has sat-out the last three matches due to suspension, was given the nod up front at the expense of Marco Matias. It is the Argentine-born forward's first Championship start since August 19.

Owls chief Jos Luhukay also made one alteration to his defence, bringing in Jordan Thorniley, who has recovered from a calf problem, for Daniel Pudil.

Neither Matias nor Pudil were included in the matchday squad but young defender Isaac Rice was for the first time named on the bench.

Strikers Gary Hooper and Sam Winnall (both calf), Sam Hutchinson (groin), Joost van Aken (ankle) and Kieran Lee (knee) are still out.

Owls: Dawson; Lees, Hector, Thorniley; Baker, Pelupessy, Bannan, Reach, Penney; Forestieri, Fletcher. Substitutes: Wildsmith, Palmer, Rice, Preston, Onomah, Nuhiu, Joao.
