Sheffield Wednesday player ratings this Championship season

The Owls came into season hunting for promotion but finished it 18 points off the play-off places in 15th.

Wednesday’s poor start to the season ultimately cost Carlos Carvalhal his job with Jos Luhukay taking his place.

The season ended with signs of encouragement at Hillsborough as Wednesday picked up six wins in their last nine games.

Despite finishing the season 12 points behind their city rivals there were still some standout performers over the campaign.

But, in a season where the Owls were closer to the relegation zone than the play-off places, there were also some players found wanting.
