Sheffield Wednesday: Owls vow to stick on attacking

Carvalhal’s side earned rave reviews for their stylish, attractive brand of football and the Portuguese chief has no intention of abandoning their attacking play.

Hide Ad“We can’t promise we will get promoted but we will try to play good football,” he stressed. “We will fight to win.
“We will try to play quality football because we want the fans to enjoy what they’re looking at. That is very important.”
Entertaining the fans was a big part of Carvalhal’s remit when he succeeded Stuart Gray at the helm nearly a year ago. Supporters have enjoyed the team’s swashbuckling football and over 17,000 season tickets - a club-record - have been snapped up for next term, which gets underway on August 6.
After having agonisingly fallen short of going up, Carvalhal has vowed to bring in reinforcements to strengthen their top-six hopes.
Carvalhal stated: “We don’t need a revolution.
“We have created a base for the future of Sheffield Wednesday but, of course, we will try to improve the team to give more quality and options.”
