The two clubs last week agreed a £700,000 fee for the midfielder, who sat out Bolton’s last two games – including the meeting with Wednesday in midweek – as negotiations continued.
Talks have now ended with Davies remaining at the Macron Stadium and Lennon left unhappy by the disruption caused to his struggling side.

Fulham are also reportedly interested in signing Davies from Bolton, who are facing crippling debts and the deadline over a £600,000 tax bill looming on Monday.
