Sheffield Wednesday: Michael Hector understands the plight of tomorrow's opponents, Stoke City

The Potters, relegated from the top flight in May and yet to fire in the Championship, arrive at Hillsborough in 18th spot for tomorrow's showdown.

Hector, hoping to be in the Wednesday squad for the first time after agreeing a temporary switch from Chelsea, understands from his experience on loan at Hull City last term that reputations count for nothing in the second tier.

"We had the same thing at Hull," he said. "We had a good team on paper, but in the Championship no-one really cares about your reputation, or your career before.

"It's all about the game. Some of the players at Stoke might think their reputations might get them through the game, but there is no respect at all in the Championship."

Centre-half Hector believes the Potters will come good under new manager Gary Rowett and is anticipating a hard test for the 11th-placed Owls who have won their last three league matches.

"Their squad is a very good Championship squad," he said, "They have players who have played a lot of games in the Premier League.

"You can see they are struggling a bit, but in the Championship there are so many games that you can quickly pick up points and climb the table.

"It will be a tough game on Saturday."
