Sheffield Wednesday loanee wary of Lewis Grabban threat

New boy Josh Onomah has warned the Owls to beware of Nottingham Forest striker Lewis Grabban ahead of their up-and-coming Championship showdown.

Onomah knows Grabban well from their time together at Aston Villa last term when the former Rotherham United featured prominently in the club's march to the Play-Off Final.

Grabban enjoyed arguably the best year of his career, hitting 20 goals in two separate loan spells at Sunderland and Villa.

His impressive form prompted Forest to shell out £6m for him last summer but Grabban has yet to register in four starts and two substitute appearances in the league this term.

Onomah, who played 37 times while on loan at Villa Park, told The Star: "Lewis is a good player. He is sharp and has an eye for a goal.

"Last season for Aston Villa he was a big threat. He was a nightmare to play against for other teams.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him. It will be a good contest to try and stop him."

Wednesday head to the City Ground tomorrow night seeking to stretch their unbeaten league streak to five matches. Boss Jos Luhukay has no fresh injury concerns as they prepare to take on a Forest team who have drawn five of their seven league matches.

"They are hard to beat," conceded Onomah, who is in contention to make his first Wednesday start since arriving on loan from Tottenham. "I feel like we have got to be patient and stick to our game plan.

"The game is 90 minutes so we don't have to win it in the first minute. We have to try and play our game."

Despite recovering from a groin problem and returning to full training, Sam Hutchinson will not be involved in the Owls' next two fixtures.

Luhukay said: "After the Forest game, we have only two training sessions before Aston Villa.

"Sam is maybe not 100 per cent yet on the physical side and we don't want another problem with the injury situation, so we will take no risks."
