Sheffield Wednesday: Jos Luhukay issues warning to Owls players ahead of Nottingham Forest test

Owls boss Jos Luhukay is wary of the attacking quality this evening's opponents Nottingham Forest possess.

Wednesday, unbeaten in their past four league outings, will be seeking a fifth consecutive victory at the City Ground tonight.

But although Forest have registered just one Championship victory this term, Luhukay is refusing to take them lightly.

"We have a lot of respect for them," said Luhukay. "They have a very strong team with a good mix and have brought in some new players at the beginning of the season.

"It is a team with a high technical quality, good speed and with dangerous players in the offensive. They have good quality in every line.

"In this season, I think they can look to the top of the Championship."

The Dutchman has tipped Forest, who have signed 16 players this summer, to be in the mix for a top-six spot.

Luhukay said: 'I don't know what their expectation is in the club itself, in Nottingham, but they have very good players, and the new players. But it is difficult to say in this Championship.

'I think you have seven, eight, nine, 10 clubs with the ambition to go to the Premier League at the end of the season.

'At the end, you will see who has had a strong year, who has qualified for the play-offs and who is number one and number two.

'It will be a hard fight for all the clubs to be in that top positions in the Championship.'

Forest are currently in 16th position, having drawn five of their seven matches.

'They have won only one game up until now, with five draws,' said Luhukay, who could hand a first start to Tottenham loanee Josh Onomah. 'It is not so easy in the Championship to win games.

'Maybe the team does not feel better to each other - and also maybe, the new players; when the team is 100 percent with each other, connected, maybe the results will be better.

'But every team has to work hard to have success.

'Hopefully it is not against us '“ and we have the success that we like and need.

'It will be a tough game of course.

'With all due respect, we must go to Nottingham Forest with 100 percent an ID '“ what is our plan, how can it work and how can we win the game. That is the most important thing."
