Sheffield Wednesday: Injury concerns over Owls quartet ahead of Aston Villa encounter

Sheffield Wednesday face an anxious wait over the fitness of four key players ahead of tomorrow's trip to Aston Villa.

Midfielders Sam Hutchinson and Almen Abdi (both knee), Callum McManaman (groin) and Ross Wallace will be checked on today.Speaking in his pre-match press conference this morning, head coach Carlos Carvalhal said: "We have training today. We will push the players a little and let's see everyone and who will give a good answer. "When we finish training today, we will know which players we have available."

Meanwhile, Carvalhal has conceded Tom Lees and Gary Hooper have been out of action much longer than he anticipated. Defender Lees has missed the last eight matches due to a knee problem while Hooper has not featured since November.Carvalhal said Lees was in line to take part in his first full training session today.
