The Owls recorded one of the highest attendances across last night's second round fixtures '“ going against the trend of low mid-week cup attendances.

Hillsborough's crowd of 13,597 was only beaten by Brighton v Southampton (13,651) and the biggest crowd of the night at Elland Road for Leeds v Preston (18,652).

Stoke attracted just 7,290 fans for their 2-0 win over Huddersfield while Cardiff attracted a crowd of just 6,953 to the 3-1 defeat against Norwich.

Hull's KCOM Stadium hosted its lowest ever crowd, 4,666, as the Tigers lost 4-0 to Derby County.

The smallest crowd of the night was at Wycombe, who only had 1,934 to watch them beat Forest Green 4-3 on penalties.
