Captain Glenn Loovens (groin) and Sam Hutchinson (knee) have recovered from their injuries and have resumed first-team training.

Loovens have been unavailable for selection for the Owls' last two fixtures while Hutchinson failed a fitness test before last Saturday's 4-0 thumping of 10-man Brentford.

Speaking at his press briefing this afternoon, Carvalhal said: "Everyone is training now which is good news. We don't have any new problems. We are with the full energy.

"It is just Joe Wildsmith (back) who is missing."

The Portuguese head coach is wary of the threat Preston will pose this weekend. Simon Grayson's side go into the Championship tussle on the back of two successive victories over Huddersfield Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

"It will be a very tough game against a team who have won five out of their last eight games," admitted Carvalhal. "Preston are in a very good moment.

"We must be 100 per cent and that goes for the coaches, the players and the fans. We must all push the boat in the same direction.

"When we do this, we are strong. If we play in a strong environment, we have more chances of winning the three points. We must run and fight a lot to bring something home from Preston."

Wednesday will be roared on by 5,500 fans at Deepdale as they target a third straight win.

Carvalhal said: "It is good and is the consequences of what we are doing.
