Sheffield Wednesday: Forget Euro 2016 - Daniel Pudil's focus is all on Owls

While earning another cap boosted his chances of a place in the Czech squad for the summer’s tournament in France, the 30-year-old insists that does not preoccupy his thoughts.

Hide Ad“Selection for the Euros is not in my thoughts at all,” he told the Czech media. “Before May there is still a lot of matches.
“If I think about it, something can happen. I have missed two Euros before.
“We will see how it is in May. If it does not happen again, it is not the end of the world.
“Now I have other priorities like my wife and children.
“If I am not selected and we progress to the quarter-finals of the European Championships, then I am still happy.”

Hide AdPudil has another chance for game time with his country tomorrow when the Czechs visit Sweden.
He told journalists in his homeland he is expected a tough end to the season with Wednesday.
Pudil said: “We’ve had some tough matches so we dropped points but we won two games and we still hold the top six place.
“It will be a great fight.”
