Three consecutive victories have all but ended any concerns of Wednesday being sucked into a potential relegation scrap.

With the Owls currently lying in 16th position, 13 points above the drop, preparations have begun in earnest for next season.

But Luhukay wants Wednesday to end a poor campaign in a positive fashion.

“We must have 100 per cent focus and concentration to try to win every game, of course,” he told The Star. “That is not easy. We also have to play at Wolves so we have a lot of strong opponents.

“But, for me, every game is a new challenge to come to a good performance and we will try to do it together.”

While Luhukay is keen to see the Owls finish the year strongly, he has also promised to make changes over the summer to avoid a repeat of the injury problems which have plagued them throughout this season.

“We analyse every week our situation with the medical team,” he said. “But I think for the new season, for the future, we must change some things to prevent the problems of this season from happening again.

“At the end of the season we must go deep and analyse what the problems might be and maybe find solutions so that we can have a good preparation and pre-season for the start of the Championship.”
