Hayley Kalinins, aged 35, has received nearly £90,000 in donations to pay for treatment over the last four months but funds are drying up.

The mum-of-four launched an online appeal for help in raising cash to pay for new forms of treatment when British medics said they could do no more.

In just one week family, friends, players past and present and football fans from across Sheffield raised over £50,000.

Hayley has started treatment at a clinic Germany which she hopes could eventually cure her, but which will cost £250,000.

She said other cancer sufferers have had ‘incredible and unbelievable’ responses from immunotherapy, which is designed to boost the body's natural defences to fight cancer.

Hayley, who has undergone over 70 rounds of chemotherapy in the UK in her fight for survival, needs her next round of treatment on Monday and a scan towards the end of the month.

It will cost around £30,000 but there is just £2,000 left.

The estimated cost of the treatment altogether is £250,000.

Hayley's husband, Andy, is urging people to use the power of social media to draw attention to the fundraising appeal.

He said: "Hayley and I are extremely grateful to everyone who has donated so far, but we still have a long way to go and this is obviously a worry. The target to pay for this treatment is £250,000."The power of social media and everyone pulling together can change Hayley's life. If everyone can put a plea out, every single donation will help. We don't have a fundraising team or a circle of people. So far, Hayley has done everything herself."Hayley is undergoing lifesaving treatment, continuing to be a mum and also raise this huge amount of money to live longer. It is extremely hard."Hayley never moans. She is so positive. She is the most amazing woman I have every met and we need her to stay on this planet. Our four children need her and I need her."I believe with all your help we can do it."This could help so many people in the future, everyone at some point in their life will be affected by cancer. We believe this is the future."Hayley's one wish is to live longer. Please help make Hayley's wish come true."Visit www.gofundme.com/6rhyr2nk to donate.
