Sheffield Wednesday: Carlos wary of Bolton threat

The Owls will be big favourites to record a fourth successive home win, with bottom-of-the-table Wanderers having failed to win on their travels all season.

But head coach Carvalhal, speaking at his press briefing today, has urged Wednesday's fans to get behind his team as they look to move into the play-off zone.

"It will be a very difficult game," he stressed. "There are no easy games in this league.

"We have alerted our players. We will be ready. We will have full energy for the game.

"I hope the fans will get behind the team and understand there are no easy games. We need the support of our fans. It is the most important game of the season because it is the next one. If the fans support us to their maximum, I'm sure we will be absolutely strong.

"We are not the best team in the world and we have never won a game where I have felt I could relax a little in the last 20 minutes. We must concentrate and be aggressive."

Fernando Forestieri and Gary Hooper will be given as long as possible to shake off their injuries. The striking duo missed Saturday's win against Fulham due to knocks. Hooper was also denied permission to play in the tie by parent club Norwich City.

Sergiu Bus, an unused substitute versus the Cottagers, and Marco Matias have resumed first-team training but are "not yet 100 per cent" fit, according to Carvalhal.

The Portuguese boss, who has confirmed loan defender Jack Hunt is close to joining the Owls on a permanent basis, says he would be willing to let Bus leave on loan to play first-team football.

Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood may return, having shrugged off his groin problem.
