Carlos Carvalhal says Wallace has shown just the kind of attitude he wants to see from all of his players, not least when they are left out of the starting line-up and he told the squad just that.

Wallace has been coming off the substitutes bench and looking like making an impact on games and this was a point not lost on Carvalhal.

"He is a player who wasn't playing in the first XI in the last games but if you saw it all the time when he was on the pitch he was the player who had the most effect on the game so far.

"This is something I appreciate a lot, it is something I mentioned to him also in front of the colleagues because I like this kind of attitude. He's an experienced player, a very good player. he didn't play but when he goes inside the pitch, he tried to change things, he tried to give a new dynamic he did well and trued a lot to do this.

"His confidence has come up because he effect the game and is more near the real Ross Wallace we know from last season."
