Sheffield Wednesday: Book signing and Owls memorabilia night

The authors of a best-selling book on a Sheffield Wednesday goalscoring legend are in the city this week to meet Owls fans.

A reprint is being ordered of ‘Fling Over an Olive Grove: The remarkable story of Fred Spiksley’ after a great response from the public.

Authors Mark Metcalf and Clive Nicholson have a stall in the Christmas market until Thursday, December 15.

They will sign copies of the book at the Owls Megastore between 6-7pm on Thursday and from 8pm host a memorabilia display and quiz at a social even ing in the New Barrack Tavern on Penistone Road.

The book, costing £19.99 is available from spiksley.com and Waterstones in Orchard Street and Meadowhall and at the Wednesday megastore. There is also a digital version on Amazon.
