Belgian club OH Leuven have announced they have signed Sheffield Wednesday youngster George Hirst.
They say the striker, the son of Owls legend David, has agreed a five-year deal and will become their player on July 1.
The 19-year-old England youth international was frozen out at Hillsborough last season and was out of contract with Wednesday.
He refused to sign a new deal with the Owls even though the club were prepared to break their wage structure in their bid to keep him.
OH Leuven, who play in the Belgian second division, are managed by Wednesday old boy Nigel Pearson and are the sister club of Premier League Leicester City.
Hirst is quoted on the OH Leuven website as saying: "I am very pleased. I cannot wait to train and play under Nigel Pearson, a coach who I have always admired."
Pearson says: "George is a great reinforcement for a team that already has qualities."
