Sheffield Wednesday: Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo tips Owls for success
Di Matteo watched his side suffer an opening day defeat to Wednesday after Fernando Forestieri’s late winner decided an entertaining and tight clash at Hillsborough.
“You can see Sheffield Wednesday have been together for a year,” the Italian said.

“Once we got into the game in the second half, we caused them problems. We created opportunities as well.
“You could see Sheffield Wednesday is a good team.”
Di Matteo admitted he was frustrated his side did not see the game out as they were hit by Forestieri’s late winner.
Goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini mis-kicked under pressure from Gary Hooper, presenting Forestieri with a clear run on goal and he finished in fine style with just five minutes to go.

“If they have to score I would like them to have to do something special rather than us giving the goal away.
“It is a shame that we gave it away rather than them earning it.”
