The '˜All Wednesday' film, which was screened Showroom Cinema on Tuesday, rounded off the Owls' 150th anniversary celebrations in style.

The sold-out one-off event, hosted by BBC broadcaster Mark Clemmit, was an evening which will live long in the memory.

The film, produced and directed by Wednesdayite Matt Exton in partnership with the Owls, featured wide-ranging interviews and stories from supporters of all ages about their affinity with the club.

Exton, who came up with the idea after the 2016 Play-Off Final, spent hours and hours trawling through the archives, conducting 20 plus interviews and editing everything together.

There were high points reminiscing about the Owls' Rumbelows League Cup final triumph 27 years ago but also elements of sadness.

It is an outstanding piece of work that perfectly captures what it means to be an Owls fan through the ups and downs. It is something all football fans can relate to in the good and bad times.

Speaking in an interview to The Wednesday Week podcast, Exton said: "There were moments through it when I was thinking 'this It is the best thing I have ever done'. And it is because it is something I care about.

"It was worth every hour spent on it."

The standing ovation Exton received at the end following the one hour and 15 minute production was fully justified. Aided by Sean Lovell, he has done a superb job.

Exton hopes to release the film online through YouTube or Vimeo later this year. For all fans of a blue and white persuasion, it is one not to be missed.
