Sheffield Wednesday will be backed by a bumper away following of around 3,000 fans when they open their pre-season account at Lincoln City this week.
The Championship Owls, who have been back in training for more than a fortnight, head to Sincil Park on Friday to take on the League Two Imps.
They were given additional tickets after selling out their initital 1,908 allocation and by early this afternoon more than 800 of the extra 1,100 had been snapped up.
The Lincoln clash, which kicks off at 7.30pm, is the first of three summer friendlies for Wednesday, with a game at Mansfield Town on Tuesday July 24 and a home match against Spanish side Villareal on July 28 to follow.
Tickets remain on sale for Lincoln: adults - £10, 18 to 21 - £5, 60 and over - £5, under-18s - £2.
Jos Luhukay's men reported back on June 25, spending a week in Chester and then a week in the North-west. They are now back at their Middlewood training base.
