The United boss also named Paul Coutts on the bench as he continues his comeback from a badly broken leg. Former Blade Ryan Leonard plays for Millwall, despite agreeing a loan-to-buy move from United in the transfer window.

For United, many of their players took part in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Bury this week and none of reported any after-effects.

Blades: Henderson, Freeman, Basham, Egan, O'Connell, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Duffy, Sharp, McGoldrick. Subs: Coutts, Moore, Stearman, Washington, Johnson, Lundstram, Clarke.

Millwall: Amos, Meredith, Cooper, Williams, J Wallace, Gregory, Romeo, Webster, Morison, O'Brien, Leonard. Subs: Archer, Ferguson, Bradshaw, Tunnicliffe, Elliott, M Wallace, Skalak.

United have found Millwall a difficult proposition at The Den in recent seasons and travel to London hoping to avoid a third straight away defeat to Neil Harris' side.

Wilder was critical of his team's display in the corresponding fixture last term, as the hosts secured a 3-1 victory. This encounter will be the 54th meeting between these two clubs, with both recording 22 wins apiece. Remarkably only nine of their previous encounters have finished all-square.
