The only change for United comes on the bench, where Martin Cranie features for the first time in place of George Baldock.

Mason Mount plays for Derby after his recent England call-up while Martyn Waghorn, a recent target for the Blades, also starts.

Blades: Henderson, Freeman, Basham, Egan, O'Connell, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Duffy, McGoldrick, Sharp. Subs: Moore, Cranie, Coutts, Stearman, Washington, M Johnson, Clarke.

Derby: Carson, Forsyth, Bryson, Tomori, Keogh, Wilson, Mount, Waghorn, Marriott, Bogle, Huddlestone. Subs: Roos, Lawrenze, Jozefzoon, Nugent, B Johnson, Davies, Malone.

Leon Clarke’s header, from Clayton Donaldson’s cross, ensured last season’s corresponding fixture finished all square. Derby County had earlier taken the lead when Matej Vydra, now of Burnley, scored from the penalty spot after Baldock fouled Johnny Russell.

But Clarke claimed his 15th goal of the campaign to ensure United took something from a match they dominated for long periods. Earlier that term, Wilder’s team had beaten County 3-1 at Bramall Lane, with Billy Sharp scoring twice.
