Sheffield United: Striker is set to be assessed amid fears about his availability for next weekend's clash with Aston Villa

Leon Clarke is a doubt for this weekend's game against Aston Villa after injury curtailed his involvement during Sheffield United's victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Chris Wilder revealed the centre-forward had been withdrawn as a "precautionary measure" after complaining of a tight hamstring at half-time and will be assessed ahead of the meeting with Steve Bruce's side. "We took Leon off because we didn't want to take the risk," the United manager explained. "He told us it didn't feel quite right and there was nothing to be gained from possibly making the situation worse. "It might be something, it might be nothing. We'll take a good look at him and find out exactly what it is but, like I say, there's every chance he could be okay. We hope he is."
