Both clubs enter the final three games of the Championship season in the hunt for a play-off berth and the former Scotland international, paying tribute to Chris Wilder’s side, said:

“Sheffield United are a really good side. That comes from Chris, the same as me, having the time to build something.

“Both sets of fans can be proud of their teams. Football can be short term and there’s an impatience from social media. But it shows, if you are given enough transfer windows to get it right, that you can achieve.”

Despite being tipped to find themselves fighting against relegation, United and Millwall are chasing back to back promotions after waving goodbye to League One last term.

Speaking after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane, Harris added: “That was a point gained for us. I thought we showed great character in an incredible atmosphere. There was a lot at stake and we knew they would create chances but both sets of players produced some quality stuff.”
