The striker missed the last game before the international break against Aston Villa with a hamstring injury.

But Blades boss Chris Wilder confirmed at his post-match press conference this morning that Clarke, who scored his last goal for United at -Ashton Gate, has returned to training and is fit to be considered for the squad on Saturday.

Wilder also confirmed that all of the club’s players who have been on international duty have returned unscathed, including Dean Henderson, Enda Stevens, John Egan, Ben Woodburn, Oli Norwood and Conor Washington.

Paul Coutts, who played for United’s U23s in midweek against Charlton as he continues his comeback from a badly broken leg suffered last November, will play a couple more U23 games - including a behind-closed-doors friendly - before he is considered for a first-team return.
