The Sheffield United goalkeeper, who today agreed fresh terms despite interest from West Bromwich Albion, described himself as being "totally focused" on securing a place in Chris Wilder's starting eleven when the battle for Premier League football resumes next weekend.

Although Moore insisted he can fulfil his top-flight ambitions with United, the 28-year-old acknowledged: "I'm happy here. We've got a great group of lads here and I love being a part of the dressing room. I love being around the place and I love the city too. It goes without saying that was a big factor for me. When you're happy, I think that's when you get the best our of yourself."

Despite being an almost ever-present during United's march to the League One title two seasons ago, Moore made only 19 appearances last term following Jamal Blackman's arrival on loan from Chelsea.

With another loanee, Manchester United's Dean Henderson, joining Wilder's squad earlier this summer, he said: "I'm very grateful for the club for offering me another contract. The gaffer has said all along that the shirt is up for grabs. You saw that last year when, even though Jamal was here, he put me in for a run of games. It was only when I got sent-off (against Wolves in February) that Jamal came back in."
