Done hit a brace as United came from 3-0 down to snatch a point, and almost claimed all three late on.

And ahead of this afternoon’s trip to Colchester, Done said:

“Hopefully it is a turning point... a season changing game in some respects, as it was a big psychological thing to get a draw against all the odds against a promotion rival away from home.

“We had a strong month in December and despite losing to Peterborough the performances have been good.

“We are a confident group, we have got a strong squad that the gaffer is always trying to enhance our options and we aren’t too far away from where we want to be.

“There is still a long way to go and hopefully if we can keep chipping away on the teams above us then come the business end of the season we will be in contention for automatic promotion.”

Done is expected to keep his place when United face Kevin Keen’s men this afternoon, but Blades boss Nigel Adkins faces a number of tough decisions before he hands in his teamsheet.

“We’ve got a few bumps and bruises after two very competitive games but I’m sure everyone will be putting themselves forward,” Adkins said.

“Stefan Scougall has been travelling with the squad. It’s just down to picking a team. As I’ve alluded on many occasions, we have got a hell of a lot of players. There’s always a debate, when people travel, about could they be on the bench? Could they be on the pitch? But I have to make decisions.”

Adkins also offered an update on the progress of defender Bob Harris following injury.

“Bob is doing more running and so, all things being well, he’ll progress and be in full training next week,” Adkins said.

“We’ll try and get him back as soon as possible.”
