Chris Wilder, the Sheffield United manager, believes the lessons his team will learn from tomorrow's game against Internazionale will serve them well in the Championship next term.

The Italians are set to field a star-studded line-up at Bramall Lane, with only those players on duty at this summer's World Cup granted permission to miss the trip.United enter the game unbeaten in pre-season, having beaten Stocksbridge Park Steels, Maritimo and Bradford City en route to last weekend's draw with Mansfield Town. Acknowledging Luciano Spalletti's squad represents a dramatic step-up in class - the visitors are preparing to take part in the Champions League - Wilder said: "Facing players of this calibre, and one of the biggest names in the game, should be a wonderful experience. I think the lads will take so much, in a footballing sense, from it."Okay, we probably won't have as much of the ball as we've enjoyed in our outings so far. But that in itself should teach us something. That should help us improve another aspect of our game and it will be fascinating to come up against different tactics, the type of which we don't usually encounter."Before the match, a ceremony will take place to mark the renaming of Bramall Lane's South Stand in honour of Tony Currie; recognised as the Championship club's greatest ever player. The former England international and several of his ex-team mates are scheduled to attend."It's not every day a team like Inter comes to Bramall Lane," Wilder continued. "And this, the new stand being unveiled, is just another reason to come along and be there. I was with a few of the old boys the other day and it's great that the club is doing this, for someone who is our greatest.

"I know it's hard for people with money, I know it's pre-season, but it would mean the world to see a really big crowd turn out."
