Sheffield United: Blades set to make a profit on Ryan Leonard as Millwall claim they have signed the midfielder

Sheffield United midfielder Ryan Leonard has joined Millwall on loan, according to the London club.

The 26-year-old will reportedly complete a permanent transfer to The Den in January for a fee understood be in excess of £1m. Neil Harris, Chris Wilder's counterpart in the capital, attempted to sign Leonard before his move to South Yorkshire midway through last season. He made four appearances for United this term.

Although United have yet to officially confirm Leonard's departure, Wilder confirmed Millwall had made an approach for his services ahead of tomorrow's game against Aston Villa.
