Sheffield underpass sex attack alert

THREE men are being hunted by police after they sexually assaulted a woman walking through a Sheffield underpass.

The men, who were all described as Asian and aged in their late teens or early 20s, struck in the underpass at the end of Ecclesall Road, near Waitrose supermarket.

One was wearing a grey puffa-style jacket with a red top underneath and dark jeans.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police are investigating an allegation of a sexual assault on a woman in Sheffield.

“The incident is said to have taken place at around 8.50pm on Monday January 17 2011 at the bottom of Ecclesall Road.

“The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking through the underpass when three men approached her and subjected her to a sexual assault.

“Enquiries are ongoing, no one has been arrested at this time. “
