THREE men from Sheffield are embarking on a James Bond-themed drive for charity.

Combining the 50th anniversary of the first Bond film, 1962’s Dr No, with raising money for charity, 23 teams will be taking part in the Help for Heroes Banger run.

Starting on Saturday, seven 007 filming locations across Europe will be visited in the four-day adventure.

Team captain Tony Peters, aged 41, will be joined by pals Mark Bellamy, 45, from Chapeltown, and 33-year-old Chris Sale, from South Elmsall, for the adventure.

Tony said: “We are looking to raise about £1,000 and so far have made nearly £450, but we need all the donations we can get – it’s a great cause.”

The journey begins at RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire, which was used in The World Is Not Enough, and ends in Monaco, at the site where Casino Royale was filmed.
