Sheffield traffic: Police diversion in place following serious crash on Stannington Road

A busy Sheffield road is closed this afternoon following reports of a serious crash.

Police have reportedly taped off Stannington Road between Carlby Road and Ivanhoe Road following a collision at around 2pm this afternoon (March 19) close to the junction with Barlow Road. The closure is having an impact on surrounding streets, particularly the nearby Loxley Road roundabout and Rivelin Valley Road.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment on how many vehicles were involve and if anyone has been hurt.
