The entrepreneur aims to create a business to help the older generation find part-time employment in a bid to tackle loneliness.

He said: "A lot of old people need something to do. I want to do it because I think it will improve lives of older people. They've put a lot into the community and it would be nice to give something to them."

Jay has dreamed of running his own business since he was 10 years old, and wants to create one which helps people in their everyday lives.

His imagination has lead him to create many business ideas, but being a busy teenager at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School he has never had chance to follow them through.

He is currently studying his GCSE'S, with hopes of eventually gaining a University place to study either Management or Philosophy, Politics and Economics

Jay, who is the youngest of four children, says he has been backed by his Nan, who has been pushing the idea in her dancing class.

He said: "I want to distribute leaflets to different places where older people go. I told my Nan the idea and she was the one that pushed me to do it.

"She said it was a brilliant idea and she would want to do it.

"She used to do ironing for other people, and I think she'd want to get back into that."

The business is in it's infancy, but Jay spends most nights researching new ways to get it off the ground.

He is looking for help from local businesses, who want to get involved and employ older people part-time.

His next stage is to get the leaflets printed and distribute them to the local community.

"I also want to do it at my age so I can learn from my mistakes which will hopefully help me later in life as I want to go into business," he said.
