A TEACHER who set out to prove she has brains and beauty is one step closer to realising her dream of being crowned the next Miss England.
University graduate Rachael Foster has beaten off stiff competition to gain a place in the final of the competition.
The 22-year-old is carrying the hopes of South Yorkshire on her shoulders after Miss Rotherham and Miss Sheffield failed to make it past the semi-final stage.
Rachael, a teacher at Tapton Secondary School in Sheffield, will appear in the final, which takes place in Leicester over four days at the end of this month.
Her success in the semis meant she had to be given her own title.
And with Miss Sheffield already taken, the Derbyshire-born belle took her hometown name - Miss Dronfield.
Rachael, who lives in Sheffield city centre, said: “I am really excited. Everyone has been so supportive.”
