A man arrested over the rape of a woman in a Sheffield taxi has been released on bail.

The 44-year-old Sheffield man was arrested on Sunday night over a sex attack in a taxi earlier that morning.

He was quizzed by detectives yesterday before being released pending further inquiries.

A 25-year-old woman reported being raped in the Duke Street area of Park Hill, Sheffield, at 1.10am on Sunday after getting a taxi from West Street in the city centre.
