Sheffield Supertram services to be replaced with buses for FOUR days

Sheffield Supertram services will be replaced with buses for four days next week while engineering works are carried out.

Buses will run between Fitzalan Square and Meadowhall tram stops from Friday, April 20 until Monday, April 23.

Nunnery Square, Woodburn Road, Attercliffe, Arena, Valley Centertainment, Carbrook, Meadowhall South/Tinsley and Meadowhall Interchange stops will be closed on these days.

Yellow Route services will operate between Middlewood and Cricket Inn Road only. Purple Route services on Sunday, April 22 will operate between Herdings Park and Cathedral only.

The engineering works, to replace the rails embedded in the highway, will take place on Shirland Lane crossing, next to Attercliffe tram stop.

Replacement bus service Y1 will run from Fitzalan Square via Cricket Inn Road, Woodburn Road, Staniforth Road and then via Attercliffe Road (A6178) towards Meadowhall, stopping at all bus stops along the route.

Passengers with valid tram tickets will be able to use the replacement buses at no extra cost.

Services will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 24.
