Sheffield Supertram fare increases coming on Sunday

Stagecoach Supertram has announced that adult long distance singles, tram only weekly Megariders and tram & bus monthly scratch cards will all increase in price from April 3.

The changes are as follows:

Adult long distance Single will change from £2.20 to £2.30.

Tram Only weekly Megarider will change from £12.50 to £13.

Tram & Bus monthly scratch card will change from £48 to £50.

The firm said that the £2.20 fare has not increased since April 2012 and the scratchcard was last increased on March 30 2013.

Other fares are unaffected.

A spokesman for Stagecoach Supertram said: “

“At Supertram we are committed to providing safe reliable and affordable travel.

“Unfortunately sometimes we have to increase our fares to account for increased costs.”
