Sheffield students set up donation stations

Students in Sheffield have raised £3,336 for Cancer Research UK by setting up donation stations in accommodation owned by Unite.

They have been collecting unwanted, saleable items from employees and students, such as clothing, accessories and homeware.

Richard Smith, managing director of operations at Unite Students, said: “Everyone at Unite Students is motivated to participate and engage in community projects and fundraising efforts, and we strongly encourage this.

“We are delighted to have been able to make such a fantastic contribution to Cancer Research UK in 2015, a charity that many people have a strong affiliation to for various reasons.

“Unite Students lives up to its values, one of which is ‘We Care’. A huge well done to everyone involved. It goes to show what a great impact we can have if we work together.”
