Sheffield student vies for prestigious scholarship
A Sheffield student is hoping to secure an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship after being selected for interview from 1400 applicants.
Matthew Jow from Birkdale School could join other 16 to 18 year old students who will receive help for the final two years of their school studies. The Scholarships are awarded to promising future leaders in the engineering profession.
Interview days for scholarship finalists were hosted at top universities including Cambridge and Imperial College. Matthew will find out in July if he has been recommended. Only 400 Arkwright Engineering Scholarships are awarded annually.
