Sheffield student striding out to help fight cancer

A student from Sheffield is taking part in a sponsored race in memory of her grandad to raise money for a leading cancer charity.

Martina Antosova, aged 23, of Broomhill, is running the Tententen 10km eventin Sheffield later this month to raise money for the city’s Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

The charity raises funds to support world-class cancer research and improve cancer treatment at the hospital.

Martina was inspired to participate in the race in memory of her grandad, who died in 2009 of cancer.

She said: “The race will be a perfect opportunity for me to raise sponsorship and donate to a cause so close to my heart.”
