A Sheffield street has been cordoned off following reports of a serious police incident.

Headford Grove in Broomhall is currently cordoned off and residents have reported seeing five police cars in the area.

Unconfirmed rumours on Twitter suggest that there had been a shooting in the Broomhall area of Sheffield last night.

Sheffield Green Party Councillor Kaltum Osman Rivers tweeted: "#guns and #knives don't belong in our streets, the shooting in Broomhall last night rocked the neighbourhood.

"@syptweet response and ambulances filled the streets. This needs to stop! #younglivesmatter . @UnityGymProject @SheffCentralNHP"
