Sheffield star Jamie Vardy and wife Rebekah rush baby son to hospital with 'alarming rash'
Sheffield star Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah had to make a panic-stricken dash to the hospital after their young son developed a severe rash.
The couple rushed to take their infant son Finley to Leicester Royal Infirmary on Saturday when they noticed the severe rash developing on his head.
Thankfully, a source told The Sun that the four-month-old would "make a full recovery" after diagnosing him with shingles.
Rebekah took to Twitter to inform her 34,000 followers of their ordeal and pay tribute to the staff at the hospital.
She tweeted: "Thank you so much to the staff @Leic_hospital (LRI) for taking such good care of us yesterday! A credit to the NHS."
One Twitter user who claimed to have treated Finley over the weekend replied to her post.
She wrote: "Was a pleasure to look after your little boy hope he makes a speedy recovery."
Rebekah's representative told MailOnline: "Rebekah and Jamie spent Saturday evening at the hospital with Finley as a worrying looking rash appeared on his head late on Saturday afternoon.
"He was promptly diagnosed with shingles by hospital staff at Leicester Royal Infirmary, they were wonderful and acted quickly to treat little Finley.
"He's on the mend and the family are very grateful to all of the hospital staff who helped them."
Vardy, the Premier League winner and former Sheffield Wednesday academy player, is currently preparing for Leicester City's home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
