Sheffield young-gun Nathan Greaves says he'll be using this Thursday's home meeting against Cradley to find a better set-up for his bike.

The 18-year-old has had a steady season at reserve with the Window Centre Tigers but has plenty more to offer. As he continues a comeback from a broken leg sustained in 2015, Greaves says he is determined to play a key role in Tigers’ play-off push.

“I’m looking forward to Thursday’s meeting against the Heathens; not only is it a chance to spend more competitive time on the bike but it’s against my former club too. I had some great memories with them that I shall never forget and it will be good to catch up with everyone.

“They’ve got some good riders, especially at the top end of their team and it should be a good night of racing.

“I’ll personally be using the meeting to try a few different things with the bikes” he said. “I’ve been more consistent in recent weeks for Sheffield and while I’m relatively happy with my scores, I’m not where I want to be. I’ve got a much busier schedule coming up and I think that will benefit me and see me scoring a few more points.

“Thursday is a chance to see if a new set-up works ahead of our next Premier League match and it’s a chance to build some confidence up as well.

“We’ve had a good start to the season and we’re in a good position right now. We have battled for a lot of wins so far and we all want to step it up that little bit more to make sure we get in the play-offs.”
